Character Creation

This is how you build your character:

  • You start with creating a concept. Who is this person? How does she look? What are her strengths and weaknesses? What does she want in life? What is she willing to do to get it?
  • Then you get points to distribute on Character Type, Stats, and Skills.
  • Read the entries for Character Types, stats, skills, and pools.
  • Decide the Character Type and distribute your points.

You get 80 character points in total to distribute on the different aspects of your character. These are the costs for the various aspects:

  • Character Type: The point value is listed with each type and gives a number of benefits and drawbacks common for all of its type.
    • You may only pick one character type.
  • Stats: 4 character points buy you 1 rank in a Stat.
    • Starting characters may not begin with any single stat at a rank higher than 4.
  • Skills: 2 character points buy you 1 rank in a Skill.
    • Starting characters may not begin with any single skill at a rank higher than 4.

At character creation you may withhold a number of character points (up to 20 points) to reflect the character's lack of training, lack of maturity, or isolation. Some character types will cause a single leftover point. Any leftover character points may be saved to use later. During the course of your game you will earn new character points to further improve your character.
